Thyroid care that looks past “normal”

Exhausted, cold, foggy, gaining weight, losing hair — and told your thyroid is “fine” because one number came back in range? A single TSH doesn’t tell the whole story. We test the full thyroid picture and treat what it actually shows.

One number isn’t a thyroid workup

Standard screening often stops at TSH. Our thyroid evaluation goes further — because the pattern across the whole panel is what points to the cause.

What we draw

A thorough thyroid panel — not just the TSH most workups stop at. TSH tells us what your pituitary is asking for, not what your thyroid is delivering or whether your body can use it. We measure the hormone actually available to your cells, whether you’re converting it into its usable form, and whether an autoimmune process like Hashimoto’s is underway — often years before standard numbers shift.

What affects how your thyroid performs

Your thyroid doesn’t work in isolation, and a struggling one usually has company. Chronic stress and elevated cortisol interfere directly with thyroid hormone conversion — one of the most common reasons someone feels hypothyroid with normal labs. Low iron, low vitamin D, and other nutrient gaps impair how the hormone is made and used. Inflammation suppresses conversion the same way stress does. Other hormones shift how much thyroid hormone is bound and unavailable. And chronic exposures, including heavy metals and mold, can disrupt thyroid function directly.

We look at all of it alongside your thyroid panel, because treating the thyroid without addressing what’s pressing on it rarely holds.

who this is for

The symptoms people live with for years

  • Persistent fatigue
  • Feeling cold when no one else is
  • Stubborn weight changes
  • Thinning hair and brittle nails
  • Brain fog and low mood
  • Irregular cycles

If that list sounds familiar and answers haven’t come, a complete thyroid evaluation is a reasonable next step — call for a consultation and we’ll map it out together.

how we start

Bring your story. We’ll bring the testing.

A consultation comes first: what you have felt, what has already been tried, and what you are hoping to get back to. From there we map out the testing that answers the question.
